Week 1. Welcome to Whitefriars

This is the first part of a ten week series. I am at school now, all the way in the UK. It is my first time to the UK. So it is pretty neat. Oh pardon my formal language, I just finished my Week 1 exam. This is the exam whereby if you don't pass a minimum of 75% you can be sent home. Thanks. I need all the luck I can get.

This is Whitefriars, its the place where all the course participants are staying. We share the house with colleagues and luckily I got there early to arrange that all the girls stayed in the same house. Like. Logic lah sket. Buduh tol.

I share my house with May, Tarn and Leila. They are all engineer trainees just like me. Everyday we get on the UTC ( UK Training Center) bus at the wee of 6.50am and get to "school" by 7.45am. Yup, its that far away from home. Better not leave anything behind.

The first day of school we had another round of entrance exams, what a way to start the week after 40 plus accumulated hours of flying in the past few days right? Class starts at 8.30am and ends before 5.00pm, the lessons are different everyday.

Basically they try to cover 2 topics in a day and at the end of the day we would also get 2 sets of homework. Homework is work. Do it. Memorize it. Cause its basically what the end of the week exam covers.

This week we had a practical session and my group traced the hydraulic line for the injector head circuit. The weather here is ugly. It rains and that is what makes the temperature drop. Like crazy.

Today is the end of week #1. Later this evening we will all head out to Tesco or LIDL or somewhere to have fun. Haha!
