Pertunangan Abang

June still remains a month of wonderful events for our family. And the summit was definitely Abang's engagement with his girlfriend, Liza. The event took the whole day as our families with a total of 7 cars went to Batu Pahat, to send the ring to the ring bearer.

What was most fun and memorable about the whole thing was that we watched before our eyes the events unfold. First mama went off to Batu Pahat to scope out the place. Hehe. So that she wouldn't faint or get shocked by what she was going to see on the big day itself. And then there was the late night 'arts and crafts' session Mama and I would do, along with my Maksu and my dear cousins around to help out with the hot glue gun and ribbon folding all the other stuff.

Both my parents have left for Yemen. I feel a bit sad. But back at home, surely Abang will feel the emptiness of the house more. Ashwan has started his first day in uni, and I am here missing all these sweet memories..

Wishing for them to come back, so I can make hot tea at 5, wait for my brother to come home with the banana fritters, pester Ashwan so that he'd let me sit on the sofa he's been sleeping in since the night before, listen to my mom tell me the same piece of gossip she just told yesterday and wait for my dad to start making a fuss about something he misplaced and left right underneath his nose.

Dreaming is free, huh?

Bile dah lame tak kene tegur

The other day my boss came up to me and told me we needed to talk. So we talked. It turned out that he felt that I was giving off bad vibes. Like, watefak la kan. Its pretty obvious why I do not socialize with my superiors as if they were my best friends. Do they even know how offended girls get the minute you comment on their figure? Like how chubby you look after a week's break? Pernah kau fikir?

It struck to me a bit silly when one day he would say something like, you look like you put on weight. And offended (of course,) I would say at point blank, no. And he kept on insisting that I simply must have put on weight. Annoyed, I would say, its the coveralls chief. Blindly he would answer, no its your cheeks. They look a lot more fuller.

Seriously? Giler ke.

At the end of the day, your boss do have the upper hand. And taking it like a true muslim, I must take the positives and push away all the negatives that have scarred my poor soul. Haha, self pity is indeed an immediate cure. Asalkan jgn aku beriye sgt nak benti keje sudah!

Speaking of which..is it only in my world that everyone around you talks about quitting and looking for other jobs, jobs that offer more family-work life balance? Or is it because I am surrounded by more unthankful people..

This is a bad entry, I did not want to record this event. But thought the better of it and shared it here. Ciao.

Why We Parked at Jalan Keruing

Yes yes, overdue submission teacher!! June was such an eventful month for me. I will surely cherish it for many years to come. June was filled with wedding invites and things to do, planning and following up with. One of the highlights would definitely be Eima's big day.

Yeah, me and sidekick J was taken aback, fine. I admit. We thought it was just a simple BBQ by the garden thing, so we both came presentable..that was, from the belly button up! We both made our way to Bangsar in jeans and slippers. Sesedap rase je. Hiok hiok. Gelak tak senonoh bajet comel setelah wat salah.

I drove by the venue, looking for a parking spot and when we passed Eima's house I hit the brakes. Ade bumper la. And the lights were damn bright. (ok, actually it was at this point in time which I realized and saw how decent everyone inside the house was dressed and made up - thus heavily hitting the brakes.)

We passed Etty on the way down the hill and frantically tried to make up our minds, nak turun tingkap ke? nak kene horn ngn kete blakang ke? nak mati keee? (We sorta had a panic attack cause we saw how propper Etty came dressed. Cenggitu la lebey kurang. Later we tried calling Etty and she didn't pick up. Bising kot.

We then sat in the car, trying to call up people whom we think would be in Eima's house, just to let us in on the scene..formal ke? leks2 je ke? sape tahuu? No one picked up.. Which led us to calling up our other favourite people who, laughed at us for dressing down so, and provoked us to just crash the place dressed so bad, and my F just simply said, "Pergi la tgk muvi kat Bangsar Village". Thanks hun.

Basically, we waited in the car for 30 minutes. Just to gather our confindence and shit. Gelak2 cam org bodoh.. Ye. Insecurity issues. Shudup you.

We were parked out at the junction of Jalan Keruing, and finally, Etty picked up! She told us she'd wait for us outside of Eima's house. And that..is how we finally made our way to Eima's big day dinner..

Bongok tak?

Holiday Breeze

Ok, ramble on!

At first I felt a tad pissed at having to cater to odd color coded themed parties. Kenduri ke tak ni? Especially when the theme was white. Rase mcm pergi kenduri jenazah la at first when I had to scout deep and hard for a decent white traditional dress.

Little that I/we, me and Jengs knew that the dinner reception was a casual event. Haha. That - would be a story for another day~

We are considering taking up another personal loan. I am not feeling too happy about it. But let's just see. Cause I am still not too happy about getting the other car. Unessecary spending, I think. But if he wanted to get me a dslr? Then that would make more sense since we do not always travel together.

And now, I am dealing with a stupid pinhole issue with one of my coiled tubings. Which apparently I am supposed to answer to HQ about. Hoh, ingat aku takot ke? Dan all of my bosses are looking for me. Wow, one too many I would say.

Wait for the pics!! Am off to the OGA thing this week.
