Tell Me Now

I am at a point where I can’t differentiate between the things I want and need. I have a perfectly understandable situation in my hands. But the thing is, I am the only one who seems to make any ends of it. Mama will be in town anytime soon. I can’t invite you to come meet her because it might change the circumstances.

I used to mix my thoughts with heavily nailed events that seem to be the only reason why I am going on the road that I am on. Meeting the parents would definitely be one of them. Having lunch with the parents. Helping the parent in one way or another. Parents, family, close relatives. All conclude to a bigger mess, unless you are ready and damned sure. Those things will tear you up if you are on the unsure end of the scale.

In the end, do we get tied up with the things that compliment him, i.e. his hobby, his friends, his affiliates? Or do we purely stay because of the person himself. Haha for a brief second I imagined myself as Carrie Bradshaw in SATC typing away after a hung-ho late night with or with no action and having a smoke. Usually during those scenes my roommate and I would laugh at what sarah was wearing. I mean really, a see through netting over small boobs in a black bra?

Yes, I am seriously in a stressful rut. The stressful part about it is that I think I am the only one in this rut alone, but I can’t bear to tell him anything much about it. He’s got other important things to focus on.

Love Affair

I’ve always adored the library. The first library I adored was the one in Taiwan. They had different libraries for elementary and middle school kids. The big kids’ library was the real deal. They had offices and it was all “Hush-hush, no running” kinda business. The sort of library you’d see in TV series of law school students. There would be a clearing which catered endless rows of exam tables. The bookshelves ran all the way up to the ceiling. The library that I had proper access to (the elementary one) had loads of good reads. The type with the likes of ‘Witches and Wizards, a complete dictionary of ghouls and ghosts’ haha. Lawak kan. I even corresponded with the author and I got a copy of that book with his signature in it. I had guts back then. Now I’m just a nobody.

The library in Dhaka was small, quaint and simple. I started to read more non-fiction books there. Our class did our Egyptian Week play at the small stage circled by the vast collection of encyclopedias. It was in those encyclopedias that my friends and I discovered an entry under C for caesarian that the article actually enclosed a picture of a woman giving birth with her legs wide open and blood everywhere. Why was it so bloody and gory? It was probably because then, I sorta believed that the white carrier pelican really delivered us in cotton wraparounds direct to the hospital beds right beside our moms.

It was also here that I’d spend my ramadhan lunch breaks with the few Muslim Bangladeshis who observed the month with discipline. I stole 2 beauty books from this library, the security wasn’t as tight as the one in Taiwan and you didn’t have to remember any codes or anything to check the books out. The book that I stole was ‘Beauty Tips from the stars of Saved By The Bell’ nice or not. It was also here that I checked out my first ever private and confidential ‘Getting your first period’ handbook. I still remember how I fumbled with the book and really really hoped the librarian wouldn’t notice the title of the book. I was in 5th grade then, all the girls were talking about it.

I hated the library in my school in negeri sembilan. So I will leave that slot blank.

I am purely in love with the library here in UTP. Although I wouldn’t say that the topics they have for share is that great, and I really hate their arrangement system. What is wrong with dewy decimal? Tade sape pon yg paham susunan buku sni weh.

They used to let us bring in backpacks into the library, but now they don’t let any big looking bags into the premises. I used to bring in delicious savory sandwiches into the library for brunch. But now I can only munch on carrot sticks that would fit into small ice-cream containers. The library sucks, most probably because I still have kilos of uncollected memories laying in every nook and cranny of the big building.

When Every Second Matters

I wanted to compile pics of my girls for my own sake. Will have you guys reallll close at heart. Like beside me, in the harddisk of my computer, boley? We've approached the final countdown towards departure. Everyone has their own different schedules and not many things can go as we planned. Humans were only meant to plan, whereas it is Him who gets to decide what is best for us.

Most of the girls finished their papers within the final week of exams and so we cleverly planned a photoshoot (will post more insyaAllah) throughout UTP's campus (it is really beautiful here, I'm not only saying this just 'cause, but because it is really something you've got to see for yourself).

Yatt and sara, in cafe V3. The burgers there are really mayonaissey..sbb tu dak2 ni suke. And fresh fruit juices are only rm1 per glass. Best tak best.

We stayed in V3 when we were in our 3rd year of study. Had tonnes and tonnes of memories there. This one is one of us kat bwh2 tempat lampu2.

But now we are in V5, its the all-new residential block. Fortunately for us we got the ground floor house. Senang nak angkut2 barang..nak meeting. Eh, deting. Haha.

My good friend sara. We became friends when we were in V2. She struck me as 'different' but thats another story altogether. She was my earliest mechanical friend, back in 1st year I was actually enrolled in Civil Engineering but I decided to pursue my interest in mechanical engineering, and haven't looked back ever since =)

My group of friends of 5 years now.. tqa, jee, sara, shada, aireen, yatt, me n jengga.

Theres another car missing..but we commute pretty much in 2 bijik kancil-comeyl. Many2 trips.

Will miss aksi2 sengal daripada sara..peluk tiang tu kuat2 sara. U're gonna miss it too I know =p

So before we said our goodbyes..we decided to go out on a bus trip..(to be con't)

***

Condolencences to saraliza and her family for the loss of their beloved grandmother..and also to kepen and his family for the loss of his grandfather..
