Welcome to Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta. My Organization Behaviour class went there as an educational trip last Tuesday the 28th of March. We had just finished covering a chapter on stress management.

We went as a group of 30 I think, and the hospital had a visit all planned out for us. We didn't know what to expect and my friends and I went just because we didn't think that we would go on our own even if we had the chance as opposed to going in a big group. Haha. Scaredy-cats.

This is Puan Noni, our class instructor. She's an excellent lecturer which makes the class a so much more fun.

We got the chance to visit the Women's Pre-discharge ward. One of the patients shared with us a poem or two but neither of us had any to share with her. This picture shows the crowd listening to the nurse's explanation about the patients' lifestyle. Some of them who are without any relatives even go to work in nearby factories.

The hospital has a massive flow of green all around it. It is around 500 acres of soil, with more projects on the way. So many trees and hills and places for the patients to hide-out if they succeeded to break out of their ward. But we didn't see any.

This is the men's Telephone Ward. Years ago this ward was the only one which had the telephone, thus the name. This was around lunch time, and we were assemblying in the cafetaria area and the patients were all getting ready to head our way. Neves tak neves. Haha. Nothing happened though. It was all safe. Because the real dangerous ones were placed in the Forensic Ward, the fresh cases of vountary murder, suicidal cases etc.. The Forensic ward is like a jail from afar. 21 ft tall walls barbed wire and full surveilance. We didn't get to go there.

Then we got to do some exploring in the Hospital's museum. Below are pictures of how the patients had their lunch years ago. Pretty sad, huh?

And a last one for the records! All of these in the pictures are my mechanical classmates! Ha ha.(L-R) naz, tahee, sara, hatta, madcah, rejal and afiq at the bottom.
